About Pass24

Pass24 is a free practice site for the Life in the UK test, which most people need to pass to settle in the UK or become a British citizen.

How the questions are written

We write every question ourselves, based on the five chapters of the official handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents (3rd edition). The question styles match the real test: one correct answer, two correct answers, or true or false.

A mock test picks 24 questions across all five chapters, with more from history, society and government, because those chapters are the longest in the handbook.

We are independent

Pass24 is not connected to the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration or the UK Government. The real test is taken at an approved test centre and booked on GOV.UK. Our questions are practice material, so please study the official handbook too.

Found a mistake?

We check our questions against the handbook, but if you think an answer is wrong, please tell us so we can fix it for everyone.
